Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every quest purchased and played through the Europe Quest Web App.

1. Game rules and participant responsibility

Europe Quest quests take place in real, public city space. Players take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety and for the safety of anyone in their team, including children in their care.

Players must follow local traffic rules and local law, respect opening hours of any public place they visit, and behave considerately towards other people.

No physical force is ever required to solve a task. Players must not damage, move, open, climb or otherwise interfere with public or private property, and must not enter private areas. If a task appears to require this, it has been misread.

Europe Quest is not liable for personal injury, loss or damage arising from participation or from a player's failure to follow these rules.

2. What you need to play

A smartphone with an internet connection is required — the quest runs entirely in the mobile Web App in your browser. A charged battery is essential, and we recommend bringing a power bank.

Quests involve walking through the city and solving logical and observation puzzles at real locations, so comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are advisable.

3. How the game works

After a successful purchase you get access to a unique game link for each player. One player, one link, one independent game session — progress, hints and score are tracked separately per link.

The quest starts when you open your game link and begin the first task. There is no fixed start time and no reservation: you can start whenever you like.

Each task is solved by finding a location and entering the correct answer. Hints become available automatically over time while you work on a task, so a team that is stuck can always continue. Revealing the answer to a task means no points are awarded for it.

Keep your game link. It is the access method for your quest, and anyone with the link can use that session.

4. Technical support

If the Web App does not load, a link does not work or a task appears to contain an error, contact us at [support email] with your order number and, if possible, a screenshot. We aim to help you continue the same day where possible.

5. Purchase and payment

Prices are shown on each quest page in EUR and are charged per player. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

Payment is handled through the checkout available on this site. Checkout currently runs in test mode: an order, invoice and game links are created for demonstration purposes and no card details are requested and no money is taken.

An order is confirmed when the confirmation page with your game link or links is shown. Access to the quest is granted through that link.

6. Cancellation and refunds

A quest is a digital product delivered immediately as a game link. Once a game session has been started, the product is considered used and cannot be refunded.

If you have purchased a quest and have not started any of your game sessions, you may request a cancellation and refund by contacting [support email] with your order number.

If a quest cannot be played because of a fault on our side — for example a broken link, or a task that cannot be completed as written — we will fix it, provide a replacement quest or refund the affected players.

7. Complaints

Complaints should be sent to [support email] and should include your order number and a description of the problem. We will confirm receipt and respond as soon as we reasonably can.

If we cannot reach an agreement, you may be entitled to bring the matter before the consumer dispute body available to you in your country of residence.

8. Intellectual property and use of the site

All quest content — stories, tasks, puzzles, answers, routes, text and layout — is the property of [Europe Quest legal entity] and may not be copied, republished, resold, shared publicly or used to run commercial events without written permission.

Game links are intended for the players covered by the purchase. Publishing answers or links spoils the quest for others and is not permitted. We may disable sessions that are shared publicly or used abusively.

Photographs and imagery used on this site may originate from third-party sources under their respective licences.

9. Privacy and data processing

Information about the data we store and why is described on our privacy page.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law applicable to [Europe Quest legal entity], without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence. Disputes will first be handled directly between you and us in good faith.

Company and contact details marked in brackets will be completed once the operating legal entity for Europe Quest is registered.
